What's New? ~ Edible Flowers from my Kitchen

As I begin to write in my food notebook, I wish for a gazillion page-turning moments here. What’s new?  Unlike other food blogs, I prefer to keep this blog as unique as possible, compulsively and voluntarily. One google search can give you thousands of recipes for what you want to cook for supper and that’s absolutely not what you will get here :)

My food notebook is a notebook of food thoughts, food memories and occasional recipes that google data bank might not already have. That is because it originated in my kitchen :)

In my first post, I want to share something that charmed me the most when it comes to fine dining experiences. It is the use of edible flowers as a garnish.

They say, before you taste the wine, smell it. Likewise, the dishes which are decorated with edible flowers bring you the fragrance to begin with and then get on with wooing your taste buds! How cool is that?

My favorite is red rose petals garnish for Biriyani and Neem flowers for Mango Chutney!  Will write more about these combinations in my next post! :)

 That's all folks!
